Jared Blajian, from Naples, Florida has won numerous awards and prizes, including the concerto competition at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he received his Bachelor of Music degree, and the Career Development Award at the Mondavi Center. He has performed in masterclasses for Norman Fischer, Andres Diaz, and Alisa Weilerstein, among others. He has also studied extensively with Udi-Bar David and Hans Jorgen Jensen. He has studied chamber music with members of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio, the Cavani, Cleveland, and Guarneri quartets, and has attended the Perlman Music Program’s Chamber Music Workshop, the New York String Orchestra Seminar, Meadowmount School of Music, and the Music Academy of the West. An advocate for public outreach, Blajian recently participated in the Perlman Music Program’s inaugural outreach retreat on Shelter Island, which brought classical music to young audiences in local schools.
