Cellist Rainer Crosett is a recent graduate the Harvard University-New England Conservatory Joint A.B./M.M Program. His AB is in Philosophy; his Master of Music is in cello performance. As an undergraduate, he was principal cellist of the Harvard-Radcliffe orchestra, and participated in their cultural and musical exchange tours in Cuba, Israel, and Jordan, which included extensive outreach work with local musicians. Rainer has broad experience in both orchestral and chamber music performance, and has won numerous awards, including winning the 2015 New England Conservatory Concerto Lower Strings Competition. His instructors have included Ralph Kirshbaum, Paul Katz, Lluis Claret, Richard Aaron, and Mark Churchill. He has performed in master classes with Yo-Yo Ma, Bernard Greenhouse, Steven Doane, Joel Krosnick, Timothy Eddy, and Ronald Leonard.
